“I am captivated with the way that color and light interact. Color alone is a powerful tool - one that communicates emotion in a way that we deeply connect with. The added element of illumination creates a focal point that humans are drawn to like a moth to a flame. We are inevitably drawn into light.

Using these two tools, I layer acrylic paint and ink illustration in such away to create a high-contrast, bold color layering that mimics intense lighting conditions. I often use the personification of nature and wildlife to convey larger themes of the human condition and current events.

Everything in this world from a bug on a leaf to the metal jungles of humanity is inexorably linked. The web of connection that links every living thing on this planet has deeply inspired me my entire life.”
